This week I finally found some time to mount the 1971 grille to my 1994 Chevyvan G20. I have been wanting to do this for ages but never seemed to find the time. I had to cut off parts of the stock surroundings to make it fit so once I had started there was no turning back! I cut off the bottom part of the 1971 grille and used VW Golf headlight units.

I have not decided yet if I will keep this bumper or try to find a matching 1971 model. The sheetmetal under the grille will be replaced and I plan to use some mini indicators between the bars of the grille.

Anyway, even though it is not finished yet I already like this grille much better than the plastic one from 1994!
