After
Chris had welded 5 identical frames, 3 of them came to Aads place
to be converted to rear drumbrake. This involved increasing the
size of the axle slots and adding brake stops. Aad did all this
and also machined the chain tensioners after which the frames
came to my place while Aad went on vacation.
I
was given the challenge of converting these three frames from
Harley transmissions to Triumph transmissions without actually
changing the frames. The reason for this is that we had obtained
expensive TUV calculations for this frame design and the other
frames would be used with HD transmissions.
Ofcourse
I started with a CAD model and had all the 10 mm steel parts
waterjet cut, so all I had to do was the drilling, tapping,
welding and grinding and the 3 frames could go back to Willem
