Project started October 2023,
This week we completed the jig and cut off everything unneeded from the donor frame. We decided to go for a 40 degree neck angle. In the pic below you can see how the neck-jig is mounted to the table and how we transfer the neck position from my drawing to the real thing.

 
 
 
Before removing the last bits of the frame we added 2 supports to the jig that will make it easier to position the new tubes

 
 
 
 
The front motormount casting will be reused, so Aad removed all the remains of the old frametubes.

 
 
 

The fifth transmission mount was removed as the transmssion will be offset slightly anyway, we will put that back later. Next the old coating will be removed and the welds cleaned up on the parts that will be reused.
