In part 78 we almost completed the baseplate for the footclutch,
all that was left to do was heat it and drench it in oil to
get that nice forged look. Then we machined and installed the
bronze bushings for the shafts.
The clutch pedal was fabricated
from several pieces of scrap metal welded together. The welds
and sharp corners were ground smooth and then the whole part
texturized.
We want the whole assembly to look as if it was forged by a
blacksmith...
We will either be fabricating
the footrests or the brakepedal next time, we will see.
