Aad programmed a CNC lathe to make throttle wheels, it took a few
hours to get the program right, but then it took less than a minute per
throttle wheel, so we made a whole bunch of 'em.

 

Aad welded on the mounting points and I polished my own manifold,
the 4th manifold we made sofar and the shortest one. We are still
experimenting but we are getting better and faster!

 
 

The throttle wheels needed a round hole with flat sides to fit on the
throttle shaft of the carb, so we made a broaching tool from hardened
steel. Works perfectly. As you can tell, all the little details are taking
a lot of time, just like with building bikes. When you have assembled
all the large parts and think you are almost finished, it turns out you
have only just begun. We don't care, we are having fun.
