To get the rear wheel perfectly centered in the frame and the sprockets
perfectly in line with eachother, Aad machined 3 mm off the hub and the
drumbrake backplate. This also makes the gap between the parts smaller
when mounted, which is an added bonus;-)

 

After test mounting the alignment was now 100% perfect! I made a quick sketch for
an axle spacer to go on the other side of the hub and we put the design in Mastercam.
For parts with very rounded shapes CNC is faster than conventional machining.
