This week's project: I had to figure out a removeable front tankmount, because the whole engine has to be lifted up before it can be removed. A fixed tankmount would make that impossible... I tried a couple of ideas on the CAD version first and chose the solution above. Lucky for me, Aad has almost every tool known to mankind, one of these tools is a drill with a magnetic foot. Perfect for drilling holes in frames!

Aad welded in two plugs, on the back the stainless steel tankmount will slide in and on the front the heads of the sockethead screws will be flush mounted. Aad machined two tapered pieces of stainless steel (316L) a starting point for the removeable mount. I got to grind, file and sand the welds smooth, to be continued...
