WEBER IDF CARBS

I use an S&S E-type manifold of the rubberband type, machined to
accept M10 sockethead screws. This is a simple operation that can
be done under a drill press. My cylinder heads are O-ring type
so I use an adaptor kit from W&W (WW67037) and I bought a new
set of rubbers and aircraftstyle clamps (WW67096). I found out that
the rubbers I was using with my previous carb, a DCOE Weber,
had torn which explains why I had a bit of trouble kickstarting it
lately. Torn intake rubbers are almost always caused by incorrect
mounting, so we decided to make the ultimate carb bracket.....

We used my homemade DCOE bracket as a template and made an
IDF version with 2 bolt holes in the middle instead of one. We think
that the one bolt mount of the DCOE worked as a pivot causing the
rubber to rip, 2 bolts should lock the manifold in all directions.
Although we had planned to start my bike with the new carb and
manifold this week, we got a little carried away with fabricating
and polishing the carbbracket, but it did turn out nice!
